Chrome Tablet Exposed to the World
Who would have thought that with Apple’s iPad making such a big splash that Google would have been overlooked? Apparently it’s very possible, especially with their current foray in the world of mobile computing, phones. Since Monday concepts and stills regarding Google’s Chrome OS have cropped up on, wouldn’t you know it, Google of all places. While this may come as no shock to anyone at all it should still come as a pleasant surprise that our favorite open source super heroes are giving us even more toys in the days to come.
While every other tablet type device seems to have one overwhelmingly simple or solitary purpose in life: presentations, movies, literature, calling people; the Google tablet seems to want to try to do them all, and all the while store it all on the cloud . . . theoretically giving you unlimited storage capacity. I say theoretically in a very loose term because in reality everyone can only have so much storage capacity, and of course no one will store everything on the cloud; this will most likely be a fun little tablet that can be used as a supplement to your desktop.
Because of the limited amount of Data that will have to be stored on any machine running the “soon-to-be” chrome O.S storage costs on that machine will have to come down alot. While that piece of information isn’t specified directly it only stands as common sense because, If Google is fronting the hard drive why would you need your own, and therefore minimal amounts of flash memory would be required just to hold the OS and the cache.
Now I do realize that I am once again dealing in speculation, this is very exciting and worth giving some sort of look into. With Google constantly showing every skeptic out there that they can . . . and will be taken seriously, we can only hope for the best. While I can’t take all the credit for this information having come across all of this after playing around on the internet. After I did a little research myself i found, wouldn’t you know it, several sites are covering this delicious information, but you can count on us here at Winopso to keep you in the loop with the rest of the internet. . . bringing you all of the informed data we can lay our hands on.
So what am I waiting for? Well actually what am I going to do until this comes out? The answer to that is that I’m probably going to debate whether or not to wait for the Microsoft Courier, or this. Without any expected delivery or hard dates that I can find it’s hard to speculate when it will come out, but since the Google Chrome OS has been expected for a while, we can probably expect the same from this tablet: with the look and the spirit behind such a project you can be sure it will be fun.
